Rotatable turn buttons or fixed knobs?

It is important to distinguish between the function of different types of knobs.

  • Rotating door knobs: These replace the classic door handle and are connected to the lock case. They work well in spaces where you want a more discreet look than a handle gives, for example for wardrobes or bathrooms.
  • Fixed knobs: These are mainly used as pull handles on doors with a roller latch or magnetic catch, or on double doors where one door leaf is fixed.

Things to consider regarding installation and fit

To ensure that the handle fits your door, you need to check what type of lock case is currently fitted in the door. Modern interior doors in Sweden usually follow a standard that makes replacement easy, where installation is done with a through-bolt for stability.

If you have older doors (pre-1970s), an adapter or a so-called "spindle" in a different dimension may be required for the handle to attach correctly to the lock case. We recommend measuring the thickness of the door leaf before ordering, so that screws and spindles have the correct length for your specific installation.
