Snap-In hinge

Unlike traditional slide-on hinges where a screw is required to lock the arm in place, the snap-in model has a built-in locking mechanism. You screw the mounting plate into the cabinet frame and lower the round hinge cup into the door's pre-drilled hole. Then you press the hinge arm against the mounting plate until a clear click is heard. This indicates that the fitting is locked and secured. This design makes it considerably easier if you need to unhook the doors at a later stage, for example when cleaning or repainting, as release is done via a release button or catch behind the hinge arm.

Many overlook that the mounting plate determines how the door sits against the cabinet frame. To achieve correct function, you need to match the hinge with a mounting plate that has the right distance (often referred to as height 0 mm, 2 mm, etc.).

• 0 mm plate: Usually used for standard mounting where the door is to cover the frame edge completely
• Raised plate: Sometimes required for inset doors or when you need to adjust the depth dimension due to thicker doors

Always check the drilling pattern in the cabinet frame (for example 32 mm standard) to see which plate fits your pre-drilled holes.
